What is the maximum lot size in FundedNext?

FundedNext Lot Size Limit: For the CFD Challenge Account and FundedNext Account there are no lot size limits.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

TL;DR: FundedNext does not set any maximum lot size limits for CFD Challenges and FundedNext Accounts, as long as traders manage risk and margin responsibly. However, our Monthly Trading Competition has specific lot and position limits to ensure fairness and system stability.

Lot Limit in CFD Challenges & FundedNext Accounts

At FundedNext, you’re free to trade with any lot size as long as you maintain enough margin and comply with platform rules. This flexibility is provided to allow traders to use their personal strategies effectively.

However, keep in mind:

  • There is no fixed maximum lot size.

  • You must manage your margin properly and avoid overleveraging.

  • Overuse of margin, even without breaching loss limits, may be flagged as risky behavior.

This applies to both:

  • Challenge Accounts (Stellar 1-Step, Stellar 2-Step, and Stellar Lite)

  • FundedNext Accounts (after passing the Challenge Phase)

Lot & Position Limit in the Monthly Trading Competition

To maintain fairness and platform stability during the FundedNext Free Monthly Competition, specific rules are enforced.

Maximum Limits:

  • Max Positions Open at a Time: 5

  • Max Lot Size (Forex Pairs): 5 Lots

  • Max Lot Size (Indices, Commodities): 3 Lots

Examples of Allowed Combinations:

  • 5 Lot EURUSD

  • 3 Lot XAUUSD

  • 3 Lot GER30

  • 3 Lot US30

  • 5 Lot GBPUSD

Total Open Positions: 5

Total Lot Used: 19

This is the maximum allowed configuration in the competition.

If you try to open more than 5 positions at once or exceed the lot cap per instrument type, your trades will be automatically rejected or disqualified from ranking in the competition.

Why Do These Limits Exist in the Monthly Competition?

  • Risk Management: Helps traders avoid blowing up accounts in a few trades.

  • System Stability: Prevents overload or manipulation in real-time competition settings.

  • Fair Play: Ensures no one gains an edge using oversized trades.
