TL;DR: Yes, you can pause your active CFD account directly from your Account Overview page with a single click. This is a one-time use feature per account, with a maximum pause duration of 30 days. It is available for all CFD account types.
To be eligible, your account must have no open trades, no pending KYC Verification, no pending withdrawals, and must not be under review. During the pause, trading is disabled, your cycle timer is frozen, and your KYC grace period is paused. You must place at least one trade immediately after resuming.
This guide gives you a one-click way to temporarily pause and unpause your trading accounts directly from your dashboard.
What is the "Account Pause feature"?
The Account Pause feature lets you temporarily pause your trading account directly from your dashboard. When activated, all trading activity and your cycle timer are frozen so you can take a break without losing your progress.
Which account types are eligible for a pause?
The pause feature is available for all CFD account types and plans, including
Stellar Challenge Accounts
Stellar FundedNext Accounts
Stellar Instant Accounts
Where can I find the option to pause my account?
You can initiate or end a pause from your Account Overview page. Once paused, your main “Accounts” page in the Dashboard will display an "Account Paused" tag next to the paused account.
How many times can I pause my account?
This is a one-time use feature per account lifetime. The option remains available until you have completed one full pause cycle, meaning your account has been paused and subsequently unpaused, either manually or automatically. Once a pause cycle has been completed, the account cannot be paused again.
Why can't I pause my account?
Before your account can be paused, the system automatically checks several conditions. If any of these are not met, the pause will be blocked, and you will see an error message. Your account cannot be paused if:
Your account is inactive or breached.
You have open positions that have not been closed.
Your account is currently under a compliance review by FundedNext.
Your KYC Verification is still pending.
A withdrawal is currently being processed or pending.
You have already used and completed your one-time pause cycle for this account.
What Happens During a Pause?
Trading is disabled: All trading activity on your account is completely halted. You will not be able to open any new positions.
Your cycle timer is frozen: You do not need to worry about losing time on your trading cycle. The days your account spends in a paused state are frozen and will not count toward your overall cycle.
Loss limits are paused: Your Maximum Loss Limit remains unchanged at its pre-pause level. Because all trading is disabled, the Daily Loss Limit becomes temporarily not applicable until you resume. Your risk parameters are fully protected for the entire duration of the pause.
Your KYC grace period is paused: Your KYC countdown resumes only when you manually unpause your account or the 30-day auto-resume takes effect. You will not lose any KYC grace period time while your account is paused.
Please note that your 90-day inactivity clock is also paused during this period. However, paused accounts are not exempt from the standard 90-day inactivity archiving policy, so you should continue to monitor this timeline. As long as you return and resume trading within the allowed window, your account will remain in good standing.
How long does the pause last?
The maximum pause duration is 30 days. This limit is automatically enforced and cannot be extended. You can, however, manually unpause your account at any time before the 30-day window expires.
Will my account automatically unpause?
Yes, if you do not manually unpause your account within the 30-day window, the system will automatically resume it on day 30.
Can I unpause my account early?
Yes, you can manually unpause your account at any time from your Account Overview page. Doing so counts as completing your one-time pause cycle.
Is there anything I need to do immediately after unpausing?
Yes, you must place at least one trade after resuming to keep your account active.
What will happen if my account is paused by FundedNext?
If FundedNext pauses your account for operational or review reasons, only FundedNext can unpause it. You will not be able to manually unpause it from your dashboard. This type of pause does not affect your one-time self-service pause limit. If FundedNext pauses your account and you have not yet used your self-service pause, it will remain fully available for future use.
